I decided to write this blog after meeting a friend who was going through this , nowadays common , ” PHONE OBSESSON ” .
It is a major yet neglected problem , especially among youth !
Do you remember the last time you greeted your parents – ” Good morning Mum and papa! ” ?
I think this habit has long been forgotten.
WHAT WE DO ACTUALLY ?
As soon as we wake up – ” Where’s my phone? “
Phone switched on! – look for the notifications! wow I Crossed 100 likes on my photo !! Great achievement! – this and that..! –
We don’t realize that so much of our precious time is being wasted early in the morning. –
Also , this destructive habit of checking the phone NOW & THEN and staying glued to screen leads to –
” LOW SELF ESTEEM ” & ” LOW LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE “
She looks so good ! Look at me ? I don’t look as good as her 😦
Oh my gosh ! Look at her girlfriend !
She’s so cute ! And mine..
You start comparing yourself to other people without realizing YOU ARE UNIQUE . YOU HAVE DIFFERENT DREAMS . THERE IS NO BIG INSULT TO YOURSELF than COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS !
You forget about your own achievements and your abilities!
” FEELING OF ISOLATION “
I don’t have much followers..! LOOK at her SHE or HE has thousands !
” M not that popular.. ” !
Instead of improving upon your VERBAL COMMUNICATION and focusing on personal development , you prefer to chat and send text messages.
This deteriorates your chances of developing :
Good Personality Traits
Improved Body Language
Better communication skills
And then you Wonder – ” why I could not clear that interview ? “
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ?
Look out for the cause. This habbit is just an effect of your wrong thinking pattern .. So once you make out – WHAT’S ACTUALLY BOTHERING YOU ? You’re half there 😀
Get this thing straight into your mind –
” DON’T USE SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES TO IMPRESS PEOPLE BUT USE THEM TO IMPACT PEOPLE ! “
You cannot even make out what harm it is doing to you and the DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES IT will have !
You will never be judged by your looks ( although to some extent , but only some)
But by your Good Behaviour , a Strong Personality and your Achievements.
No worries ! It happens with almost every person using these sites. Even I was obsessed at one time. But the moment I realized this is not a part of my DREAM , I made the necessary changes!
Keep yourself away from the phone atleast 2 hours after you wake up & 2 hours before going to bed .
It might take some . You don’t have to worry..
